OUR PROJECTS
Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Azira Micheal Youth Foundation is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our campaigns and programs. While our efforts are driven by our organization’s singular focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of progressive strategies. Learn more about our initiatives and get involved yourself.
HEALTH AND NUTRITION
Nutrition is still a major problem among the youths due limited access to food. Uganda has one of the youngest and most rapidly growing populations in the world, with 48% of the population under the age of 15. At our annual youth soccer tournament we have made it our goal to feed every child participant 2 meals a day.
SUPPORT SERVICES
Through our mentor ship program we invite people who are successful in their area of expertise to come and talk to kids by sharing their story on how they made it and how our our youths can also make it. Here we also teach kids how to set their own goals and how they can achieve them.
EDUCATION
Most of our efforts and resources at Azira Micheal Youth Foundation go towards investing in our youth soccer players. We work with local schools to establish scholarships for our best players from the tournament. For other kids we provide them with tuition and scholastic materials that they need for their school. Join us in educating our youth soccer players by providing us with the needed resources to further their education.
COMMUNITY
We plan on working with our local community in creating a lasting change among the youths.
BUILDING A HOME FOR THE HOMELESS
Through our Support Services, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Azira micheal youth foundation, and a source of much success for our Organization. A number of kids are homeless, we have made it our goal to secure land and build a dormitory and a soccer field where kids can sleep and develop as soccer players. Join us in reaching this goal together by donating to our youths foundation.
